More wire wrapping...

I love wire wrapping, it's really relaxing to wrap wire and beads onto a frame and see your design take shape. My first real wire wrapping project included two tiaras - for a beautiful bride and her chief bridesmaid. I also made matching wire wrapped Catherine wheel hairpins for the flower girls. I was so proud that my jewellery was worn on such a special day, it was the best compliment ever!

For these earrings, I have wrapped black glass crystals from Crystals and Ice onto Beadalon Quick Links. I have used a large jump ring to add the facetted crystal to the bottom of the frame and finished off with sterling silver ear wires.

I always find that the best advert for your jewellery is to wear it yourself, I wore these today and took orders for two pairs.

Opaline Moon bracelet

The focal in this bracelet is a large facetted opaline bead which is strung onto thick silver wire with moonstone chips hand wrapped with 0.4mm silver wire either side. The bracelet is finished off with wire wrapped opaline and white crystal beads together with a magnetic clasp.

Enjoy!

Little Luna earrings

Hello! I'm trying a picture to see how it looks. These have become somewhat of a signature pair of earrings, I made a pair for myself and was asked to make some for a shop after the owner saw me wearing them. It was the first time I have had an order as such and I was so pleased!

These earrings are made with swarovski crystals which have been hand wrapped on to a curved frame of thicker wire which I also shaped by hand. I have made these in numerous different colour ways and I love them all.

Here I am!

> I sooo promised myself I would start a blog and here it is at last. I have been making jewellery for family and friends for quite a long time and am slightly obsessed with all things sparkly. Working in an office all day can be hell for a creative soul but i've made a first step and I'm looking forward to sharing my designs with you.

> I've been inspired to start my own blog by some of the really amazing blogs already out there which are so informative and interesting to read. I have especially been following Rebecca Anderson on Songbeads - stunning designs!
